Thank you for your interest in Family Medicine of Southwest Washington. We are one of sixteen programs in the University of Washington's Family Practice Residency Network.

Our program enjoys the sponsorship of Southwest Washington Medical Center and enthusiastic support from our medical community. We pride ourselves in providing a quality educational experience for physicians that includes full scope family medicine with strong OB and procedural medicine, components aimed at preparation for practice in today's health care arena, and a commitment to community outreach.  Please read the general information regarding our program which is located on our web pages.

All applications submitted to the University of Washington's Affiliated Family Practice Residency Network must use the Electronic Application System (ERAS) process.  ERAS application information can be obtained by contacting your medical school's Dean's office, e-mail at MyERAS@aamc.org , or through the Internet at http://www.aamc.org.  Family Medicine of Southwest Washington's individual e-mail address is info@)fmsw.fammed.washington.edu.  Applications received by mail will NOT be accepted.  All applications must be received no later than October 31. Early submission of applications facilitates the best choice of interview dates.

Following receipt of your completed application documents, we will notify you regarding interview status.   Our list of interview dates is located in the application section of the website.

We are accepting applications for seven R-1 positions.  All applications for R-1 positions should apply through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Our NRMP number is #1143 - 20.
