Hospice staff wanted the Ray Hickey Hospice House to be as warm and inviting as possible, so
when you're here you take ownership of the space. It's a calm, serene
atmosphere, but it's also a place where you can kick up your feet and have
dinner with the family.

The entrance to the Ray Hickey Hospice is a showcase for natural
resources of the Pacific Northwest. Stone and timbers from the region
reflect the underlying grace and strength that hospice patients reveal.

A tranquil garden forms the central courtyard. A
stone fountain symbolizing the Circle of Life sets the stage for quiet
reflection.
The garden was a gift to the Hospice House from employees at Southwest Washington Medical
Center.

The parlor shines in warm colors and all the
comforts of home, with furnishings arranged in separate seating areas
for patients and their guests.
A kitchen area sits just outside this photo, near the table in the
bottom right. Patients or their guests can create snacks or home cooked
meals.
