Study options and diagnostic testing for
brain diseases and conditions
• Bi-plane cath lab
• Digital Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) provides
clear imaging of the brain, internal organs, and structures without using
ionizing radiation.
• Digital Computed Tomography (CT) Scan is an x-ray
technique that gathers images of internal portions of the body. Instead of
getting one image like an x-ray, a CT scan produces a series of "slices" that
allow a much more precise and detailed view. This imaging technique is
able to clearly show soft tissue, like the brain, in addition to dense tissue,
like bone.
• Videonystagmography (VNG) and
electronystagmography (ENG) are used to track and record eye
movements in response to stimulation of the balance system. Both are
used to assess vertigo, dizziness, and imbalance.
• Sleep studies
used to assess sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, periodic limb
movement disorder, insomnia, 24-hour sleep-wake cycle disruptions and other disorders.

Advanced Treatment Options for
Brain Conditions
- Brain Surgery preformed by fellowship-trained
physicians
- Physical Therapy
- Medication Therapy
- Inpatient rehabilitation
- Durable Medical Equipment (DME) such as Continuous
Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices and Bi-Level devices (Bi-PAP) for
treating sleep disorders.
- Positive airway pressure masks, nasal pillows, and
supplies for treating sleep disorders.
- Prescribed sleeping aides, if this is right for your
situation.
- Stealth Neuronavigation System with brain tumor mapping for precise
surgery. This enables neurosurgeons to also biopsy tumors that are located in
deeper parts of the brain.

Rehabilitation
At Southwest your care doesn't end when you are
discharged from the hospital. We also offer full rehabilitative care
