Southwest's Stroke Coordinator Becomes Stroke Ambassador for National
Stroke Association (NSA)
Since
coming to Southwest, Louise Jenkins, R.N., B.A., has raised the bar of
excellence as stroke program coordinator for patient advocacy and community
education. Recently she expanded her responsibilities by accepting the position
of stroke ambassador with the National Stroke Association
.
Jenkins will be a regional resource for NSA's western region. She will also
help create and produce national stroke-related events, as well as be an expert
guest speaker.
"The best reward for this is the expanded professional network for sharing
evidence-based, best care practices," said Jenkins, "as well as educating the
public about stroke risks, identification and prevention."
