With a 150-year
heritage as a community hospital and medical provider, Southwest has
evolved to reflect the dynamic and growing region, including Clark County and
communities of Southwest Washington. Our commitment is reflected through
generous community benefits
and outreach services.
In 2005, the Board of
Directors adopted a new vision statement that reflects where the
organization is heading in the future. Simply put, we're about our three
E's.
Vision: Exceptional medicine. Extraordinary care. Every
person.
Our mission remains unchanged and reflects what we do every day to make our
region a better place to live.
Mission: As the
leader in the provision of health services for our entire community, we
emphasize clinical and service quality
, promote
accessible and affordable care and work with others to improve health
status.
In 2007, members of our Great People, Great Place team revised our values and
added new expectations related to everyone's role in safety.
Values: Our values are reflected in "I" statements. All
Southwest Washington Medical Center employees sign their commitment to our
Southwest Promise and are evaluated each year on living up to these high
standards.
Safety I put safety
first. I see it. I own it. I keep Southwest clean.
Respect I protect the
privacy and dignity of all. I honor diversity. I am kind, caring and

and my heart when listening to others. I express empathy and provide
explanations.
