Not only are they highly skilled, but you can see and feel the compassion they have for their patients and co-workers in all they do." —Rochelle White, RN, OCN, Oncology Infusion Team Manager

Safety and Comfort When Receiving Infusions

The Infusion Center provides a warm, cheerful environment, including private rooms, for receiving infusions. Oncology-certified nurses administer strictly regulated chemotherapy treatments, and specially trained volunteers provide a cozy blanket, snacks and good company. Your loved ones are welcome to accompany you to chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Our Services

Southwest provides a wide range of infusion services not only related to cancer; for example:

  • Chemotherapy with a wide range of specialized infusions (Cytoxan, Methylprednisolone, Prolastin®, Remicade®, Tysabri®, etc.)
  • Antibiotic, iron/ferrlecit infusions and antibiotics delivered by easily portable CADD pump
  • Blood product transfusions and plasma apheresis (plasma removal and transfusion) with the American Red Cross
  • PICC line placements and ultrasound-guided PICC line placements
  • Central line port access management
  • Supportive care for pregnancy-induced nausea and vomiting

Why Select Southwest for Infusion Care?

Many oncology infusion centers advertise they are the best, but at Southwest, we back up our claim with experience. As of 2009 our nurses have a combined total of 276 years of oncology-specific experience. This translates into an average of more than 14.5 years of experience per nurse.

Southwest offers treatments beyond the standard types of infusions you would expect in a Regional Cancer Center. In addition, we offer several types of specialized procedures, including:

  • Therapeutic phlebotomies
  • Anti-coagulation therapy
  • Cortisol stimulation testing
  • Immune globulin
