Jack & Nancy Barry, long time volunteers at Southwest

Nancy and Jack Barry

Jack & Nancy Barry, longtime volunteers at Southwest, left multiple gifts to Southwest in their estate plan and trust. These native New Yorkers chose to benefit our Cancer Center, Heart & Vascular Center, Health Career Scholarships, Chapel and Hospice programs with a wonderful gift that amounted to $165,000 after their deaths. As volunteers, they logged more than 13,000 hours and were well-known for their work in our Intensive Care Unit. Jack loved baseball, and served as a batting and pitching coach for the Brooklyn Dodgers and even caddied for Babe Ruth! Their passion for Southwest and excellence in local healthcare will continue their legacy long into the future.
