Meet Our Nurse Navigator

Southwest's nurse navigators are registered nurses specializing in cancer care (oncology). Like compasses that provide direction, nurse navigators want to be trusted guides for you and your loved ones throughout your journey with cancer. The Kearney Breast Center's nurse navigator, Sandra Kienitz, RN, CBPN-C, can help coordinate your care with surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, clinical trials, lymphedema care, breast reconstruction, and other cancer treatment.

Meet Our Radiologists

Whether you need a mammogram, ultrasound, MRI or breast biopsy, the Kearney Breast Center's team of radiologists provides exceptional breast imaging technology and expertise. The beautifully designed facility provides a supportive, calm atmosphere with three digital mammography rooms, two diagnostic ultrasound rooms, patient/physician consultation rooms, and more.

Our technology sets new standards in breast imaging, including:

• Dilon Technologies® camera: Breast-specific gamma imaging (BSGI) captures digital images that show metabolic activity of cells within the breast. Although BSGI does not take the place of a full MRI, research shows that it can be a cost-effective alternative for women who cannot tolerate an MRI.
• Hologic™ digital mammography: Our 2D platform has tomosynthesis capability built in, which will allow 3D images.
