Adrenalectomy (adrenal gland surgery)
Adrenalectomy involves removal of one or more adrenal glands.
There are two adrenal glands in the human body, one above each kidney. Each adrenal gland consists of two separate parts, an outer cortex and an inner medulla.
Adrenal glands can contain both benign and malignant tumors. Both types can require surgical removal. Our surgeons are experienced in the laparoscopic removal of those tumors, an approach that aids in faster post-surgical recovery.
This service is provided at Surgical Specialists (Mill Plain), Surgical Specialists (87th Ave.).
