A digital mammogram converts x-rays into digital information. The images also can be stored electronically and transmitted from one location to another, allowing breast specialists in different locations to study them as needed.
You do not need a healthcare provider's referral to schedule an annual screening mammogram. At the Kearney Breast Center we will strive to meet your scheduling needs, and our radiologists will provide prompt results reporting. Our Center is equipped with private dressing rooms and three mammography rooms with exceptional technology to ensure that you receive extraordinary, compassionate care.

Important: If you felt a lump during your monthly breast self-exam, please see your healthcare provider as soon as possible, because a diagnostic procedure will need to be ordered. (You may want to verify your insurance coverage for diagnostic mammograms and other procedures.) We will give these specialized procedures the highest scheduling priority.
