 Why It's Personal
"When your life is shattered by a diagnosis, you have to look at the pieces and be able to rearrange them and build yourself in a different way. And sometimes in doing so you become more beautiful." —Heidi Marble
Maybe you are diligent about having your annual mammogram. Or maybe you've never quite found the time to have one. Every woman's decisions are personal when it comes to breast health.
Here are a few more reasons why it's personal:
- Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women in the state of Washington. In fact, you probably know someone who has been affected by it.
- The decision to have a mammogram is often made out of the desire to be healthy for children, partners, or other loved ones.
- Breast screening and diagnostic procedures are an intimate and personal experience.
- More than 1000 generous donors got personally involved in the Foundation's Pink Power campaign, donating $4.1 million to help make the Kearney Breast Center a reality.
Kearney Breast Center medical experts and staff take a personal approach to caring for each patient, with advanced imaging technology, compassionate services and the convenience of a comprehensive breast center, all under one roof.
But don't take our word for it. Watch videos and read stories as people in our community share how breast health has had a personal impact.
