High school graduate or equivalent with graduation from a medical assistant program

1 plus years experience in family practice including OB or completion of a medical assistant externship at Family Medicine of Southwest Washington

EKG, phlebotomy and injection skills or equivalent education and/or experience

Certification eligible under the WA State Health Care Assistant Act must obtain within 6 months of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification

Strong oral/written/interpersonal communication skills

Sound judgment, demonstrated organizing/prioritizing skills

Ability to successfully practice in interdisciplinary teams

Telephone etiquette

Prefer: Associate's in Applied Science or proficiency certification; phlebotomy and American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) certification; fiber optic scope experience
