Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing

3 plus years' in surgical and/or appropriate similar setting with 1plus year charge nurse or other leadership experience or may have equivalent combination of education and experience

WA State RN Licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification

Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Analysis/problem solving skills

Proven leadership skills

Planning, budgeting and fiscal management

Ability to work in politically sensitive areas with controversial issues

Ability to communicate effectively with operating unit and management personnel and to elicit cooperation

Work requires moderate physical exertion up to 33% of the time with ability to lift objects weighing 50 lbs or less

Prefer: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing; Bachelor's in business management and/or healthcare management classes; 5 plus years' surgery experience; 2 plus years' leadership experience; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
