"Get a Grip" is all about how to get a grip
on life by stimulating your brain
and having fun doing it!

'Get a Grip' is all about how to get a grip on life by stimulating your brain and having fun doing it! For example: List at least 5 answers to the statement, 'Life is too short to….' Here are mine (Lin Mouat, editor), to get your started. Life is too short to:
  • Spend it with people who drag me down, who are determined that their problems and ailments are the worst in the world.
  • Spend it feeling sorry for myself.
  • Waste time with feeling guilty.
  • Scrimp on time with my creative endeavors.
  • Lose precious time with my husband. Please share your list with The Stroke Scoop community (strokecenter@swmedicalcenter.com).
Points to Ponder:

Recovery from a stroke is not a single event. made up of large and small steps, it is a journey that requires time and patience. Be gentle with yourself.
