Volunteers from SHIBA (Statewide Health Insurance Benefit Advisors) assist with questions and information on health care insurance, HMO’s, Medicare, Medicaid, Long-Term Care and supplemental Insurance Assistance with Medicare D Programs and the LIS applications to Social Security.
Volunteers can also assist with completing Prescription Assistance Applications to pharmaceutical programs, screening and enrollment with Medicare D, and with Social Security LIS applications.
SHIBA Helpline is a cooperative effort of RSVP and the WA State Insurance Commissioner’s Office. Trained Volunteers are available to assist at Southwest Memorial Health Center if you drop in on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Check room schedule on site for room locations.
