Application Process

Applying for a new job is exciting. Imagining new challenges you could face, new coworkers you might meet, and new steps for your career can be fun. Sometimes not understanding how the process works can leave you feeling exasperated instead of exhilarated. As one of the largest employers in Clark County, our goal is to be transparent about what generally happens during our application process. When applicants know what to expect, they can relax and enjoy the process.

Teamwork: I develop and maintain good working relationships by showing respect, compassion and care for coworkers.

Search and Apply
PeaceHealth is an equal opportunity employer. Job opportunities are posted on our online job search system. You can find jobs, login, and apply in one convenient location. If you have questions about the system, consult our FAQ page for help.

Review and Interview
Once a sufficient number of applications have been received, they are reviewed by the appropriate HR professional and/or the hiring manager. A handful of top candidates are selected for an initial interview, and only those candidates will be contacted.

There are several simple things you can do to prepare for your interview. First, review your resume and work history and be ready to discuss your qualifications for the position. It is important to be able to express yourself clearly so the interviewer gets to know you quickly.

Second, learn more about PeaceHealth. By reviewing the website and talking to current employees and patients you can get a feel for our organization and how you might like being part of our team.

Finally, be curious – about PeaceHealth, the department you are applying to, and more. The interview process is a dialog where the interviewer and interviewee learn about each other. Make a list of questions that you find important and discover the answers throughout your interview process. It will help you make your final decision should you receive an offer.

Final Stages and Offer
Many positions require candidates to engage in multiple interviews, meeting different team members along the way. Finalists continue the interview process until one candidate is selected and an offer has been made.

If you are offered a position at PeaceHealth, you will be required to participate in a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
