Pediatrics
Pediatric care is a medical specialty that focuses on the care of children from birth through adolescence. Physicians who specialize in this type of care are called pediatricians. Pediatricians are required to graduate from a four-year medical school plus complete an additional three-year residency. Some may have additional training in a specialty, such as neonatal medicine or pediatric allergy and immunology.
